So I said I would tell you all about BodyWorlds2. Well let me tell you that it is amazing. They’ve literally turned the bodies into PLASTIC. Every imaginable body part, muscle, and bone is displayed in an almost live like manner.

There were a number of exhibits which I found extremely intriguing, however, my favourite exhibit was one in which there was a vertical cross section of an ‘obese’ person. Imagine standing up and being sawed in hald vertically (from bottom to top). The specimen was beside another cross section of a ‘normal’ person. Although the insides were the same size (intestines, lungs, etc) the obese specimen had a good six inches of ‘white’ fatty substance. GROSS! It was easy to see the folds of fat, I think you would have been able to literally lift up fat and expose skin which had not recently seen the light of day.

I would suggest purchasing your ticket online a couple of days before venturing out to the centre.

Parking is around $8, and admission was around $25 (granted you access to both the regular and bodyworlds exhibit).

Good times
