Bell launches Digital Voice Service in GTA and Hamilton

Bell Canada announced today that it has launched its response to Cable Telephony competition.www.bell.ca/digitalvoice. There are 2 different services being offered. The $40 Digital Voice service has been introduced as a traditional Bell Landline replacement. This VoIP service allows you to keep your own telephone number, use of all your existing phones and jacks, and have enhanced 911 service (much the same as the traditional 911 service). The VoIP functionality is at the backend. There are tons of new features available with this service – please visithttp://www.digitalvoice.belloffers.ca/teaser-demo/en.html

Bell Digital Voice Lite service is a solution similar to that being offered by Vonage, Rogers, and other new entrants into the VoIP market. This solution requires a highspeed internet connection and use of an ATA adapter. This solution is well suited for additional lines, and if you require portability with your telephone numbers.

Today I proceeded to migrate my traditional landline service to the New Bell Digital Voice offering. I am recommending all of my readers to evaluate the benefits of this new service offering, and consider switching to this new telephony platform.
